Hello, so this is going to be a review of the Bourjois Healthy mix foundation. I have the shade light vanilla which is a perfect match for my skin colour.
Bourjois claim this foundation gives "70% more radiance for up to 16 hours and a flawless, luminous complexion for up to 16 hours." The foundation includes Apricot for radiance, Melon for hydration, Apple as an antioxidant and Ginger for energy.
I was able to find my shade easily and quickly however I can tell that for very pale skins or darker skins it would be much more of a struggle as there are a limited number of shades.
The consistency of the foundation is quite thin, meaning it is a dream to apply! I put a few pumps on the back of my hand and use my Sephora mineral brush to buff it into my skin, this has been the best method for me but it works just as lovely used with fingers and other brushes.
I would say this foundation gives medium coverage, it evens out my skin tone but doesn't cover ever single imperfection.
This foundation looks very natural on the skin, applying a small amount makes it look like you are wearing next to no foundation but applying more covers and evens the skin.

Because I prefer a matte finish I use a powder over the top, if you have dryer skin I think you could skip this step and your skin would still look lovely. I haven't tested out whether it lasts the full 16 hours but I have tried it for about 12 hours, (which included a lot of running about and getting hot at work) the foundation still looked lovely and there was next to no shine on my face.
One thing I definitely must comment on is the smell of this foundation, I find that especially with drugstore foundations they don't smell great, this foundation smells AMAZING. All Bourjois products seem to have a lovely scent to them but it just makes it a lot nicer to apply when a product smells nice compared to one that smells of paint. (*cough Revlon Colorstay *cough)
I would definitely recommend this product,it is definitely one of the best drugstore foundations I have tried and I actually prefer it to many of my higher end foundations! It's £9.99 which I think is a very reasonable price, arguably it is not the cheapest but I would much prefer to spend £9.99 on a really lovely foundation than a rubbish £5 one!
I hope this review was helpful! :)
I've been loving using the Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation- its got really good coverage and concealing properties. I think this will be the next one for me to try! Great review, lovely blog x
