Mac MSF Natural

Hello! Today I'm going to review the Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural, I have been using it for about six weeks and can safely say I love it! I am NC20 and I decided to go with the shade 'Light Plus.' I had googled and researched beforehand and a few people said to go with 'Medium' but when I was in the store this shade seemed to match my skin perfectly. Although I get dry skin I like a matte finish, I started by using a Real Techniques Powder Brush with this however I seemed to get a very cakey face and too much powder was being applied bearing in mind my skin is dry! However I have found that using a sponge works well! I have a large pack from Superdrug, they are basically flat sponges. I just put some product onto the sponge and then press it onto my skin, I found that the powder brush I was originally using was quite dense and would move some of the concealer around a bit, so gently pressing the powder on was a much better way!

This powder is not heavy like many others I have tried, it blends in to the skin and doesn't cling to any dry patches. I haven't used this on its own but I have heard that it works well on 'good skin days' on its own! As I said, I have been using this for about six weeks, the dome shape has hardly dented and I can tell that it is going to last ages!

Have you ever tried the MSF natural?

  1. I've never tried the msf naturals, but I really want to! You should have a look on YouTube at gossmakeupartist he did a video a while ago about the best ways to apply powder :)

  3. I use this in Light Plus to set my Studio Fix Fluid foundation in shade NW15 and I absolutely love the finish it gives. However, I do find that I need to re-powder my tzone throughout the day.
